The Nutcracker

Yesterday we decided that we would actually go to the Nutcracker. We were debating if we should go but we decided that it would be a nice thing to do around Christmas and neither of us had ever been to a ballet before. I had always wanted to see the Nutcracker and so we bought the tickets in the afternoon and drove to San Francisco. We were unable to take pictures of the ballet but I thought I would post their trailer. It was so beautiful and we had a great time!!!

Selling coconut trees?

Today we went to IKEA to find some things for our bathroom and found that they sell coconut trees. I was so surprised! HAHA

Pride and Prejudice

Mr.Bingley comes to call on Jane

Lady Catherine de Burgh and the Bennets

Some of the Bennets

Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth
My husband and I went to the theater on Saturday in Ross, Ca. It was about 30 minutes away in an old barn. I was so excited to see the best story ever told!!! The theater was small but very a very neat barn! We both enjoyed it but it will never compete with the BBC/A&E 6 hour movie of Pride and Prejudice. That is the movie that made me fall in love with Jane Austin's characters. The play went fast and slow at times. Since my husband did not know the story it maybe was hard to know what was going on in such a short condensed version of the book. At times it felt that it needed more to it to make you get what was really going on. The character of Elizabeth, the mother, father, and Lady Catherine were played very well. We were not allowed to take pictures during the play so here are some pictures from their website.

COCO Swirl

Here is a wonderful yogurt shop in Walnut Creek we just had to try!!! It is self serve machines and you can choose your toppings. You pay by the ounce.

Fold-a-bike

Here is a bike that we saw when we were waiting for the train to get to the city. It folds completely in half!

Our Garage

Here is our parking garage. It is a 2 floor machine that moves either up and down or side to side. In our case it moves up and down. This allows the garage to have more cars. I am a little nervous driving into because I feel I am going to hit one of my sides but the more I use it the better I get!

BART

Using public transportation is new to me. This for me will take a bit of getting used to. Here is the train we use to go to the city and what Antonio uses to. They call it BART.
To my surprise it is not ciaos

We caught you! HAHA!!!

Here is a dad holding his little girl to help her go the bathroom at Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco on Thanksgiving day. Antonio spotted them while we were walking past them to look at the boats coming in. We both just started to laugh and Antonio just had to take a picture. I guess when you gotta go, you gotta go!
